How does Harper Lee Manage to Draw Together the Stories of Boo Radley E
How does Harper Lee Manage to Draw Together the Stories of Boo Radleyand tom turkey Robinson? Do you find her Way of doing this Effective? There is a toughened literary motif running through Harper Lees novelTo wipe out a Mockingbird. The stories of Boo Radley and tomcat Robinsonare drawn together by the fashion they are both mockingbirds in their ownway. Both men are on the outskirts of society and are misunderstood bythe preponderantly white state of Maycomb. In the first part ofthe novel, there is a very important quote usedShoot all the Bluejays you regard if you can hit em, but remember itsa sin to run through a mockingbird. To Kill a Mockingbird is a novel about a young girl named JeanLouise Finch or Scout growing up in a very prejudiced American town inthe 1930s. Her life is fairly normal until her father, a lawyer namedgenus Atticus, is asked to defend a black man charged with the rape of awhite girl, Mayella Ewell. Atticus knows there is no chance he can winbecause his defendant, Tom Robinson is black and therefore guilty butas Atticus give tongue to himselfJust because we were licked a hundred years before we started is noreason for us not to try to win.The jury persecutes Tom Robinson in his trial. It would have beenimpossible for him to abuse Mayella because he cannot use his leftarm. Mr Heck-Tate verbalise that she had a black right eye, suggesting herattacker was left-handed. Her father, Bob Ewell, was, suggesting thathe fly the coop her up. Because Tom couldnt punch Mayella with his left fist,it couldnt have been him. Tom Robinson is an admirable image andvery brave. He showed these qualities in the trial by speaking his heading and saying the truth, but this still was not enough to sway theju... ...or display case he leaves two dolls carved out of soap in the proportion of Jemand Scout. A lot of effort and thought would have gone into thosedolls, simply to please the children. He has done nothing but try to crystallize the children happy but they are still unkind towards him.Harper Lees way of making both Boo Radley and Tom Robinsonmockingbirds is very effective. It gives the reader a parallel tocompare each two. Both men are on the outskirts of society and aremisunderstood by the predominantly white population of Maycomb. HarperLee draws the two stories together to give out a very powerfulmessage you shouldnt judge people on the influence of their skin ortheir lifestyle. You never know exactly how that persons feelinguntil you salary increase inside their skin and walk around in it. This issummarised in a quote made by AtticusWere you ever a tump over huh?
